THE BODY SHOP COCONUT SOAP REVIEW
The Body Shop Coconut Soap comes in brown colored plastic packet like cover. The soap is off-white in color with TBS symbol embossed on it. It smells more of artificial coconut unlike pure coconut oil. This is acceptable since it must be having the other chemicals as well. However the fragrance is quite pleasant and sweet. Per the description provided by The Body Shop the fragrance of this soap is that of a tropical coconut.
The Body Shop claims that they use Community Fair Trade virgin coconut oil comes from the coconuts that are organically grown in Samoa. Selected gathered nuts are hand cracked and the flesh is cold pressed to extract the coconut oil. Apart from coconut oil, TBS Coconut Soap also consists of organic soya oil which is sourced from Gebana Brazil. This soya oil is helpful to keep the skin young looking.
The Body Shop Coconut Soap lathers well and when used in shower smell much more pleasant. Also I wouldn’t say that its ultimately moisturizing since I have used this during winters and I need a good moisturizer post shower. During summers I might end up using a light moisturizer may be. I loved this soap more for its ingredients and fragrance. The soap leaves your skin squeaky clean but I felt it drying as well. The fragrance lingers for an hour or so but it’s not at all long lasting.
I would not suggest this soap from dry skin or extremely dry skin beauties. For oily, combination and normal skin this soap will be a good choice. Well I am a combination skin so it was good on me but not as much as I expected. Since if a product has two of the best oils in it I wanted it to me more moisturizing.
Considering all the above features mentioned I don’t think I will keep buying this soap, but giving it a try was great, not that I am fond of it but yeah the performance was just acceptable.
