About Cleansing Toning Moisturizing Routine
CTM routine is the most inevitable part of best skincare routine. And today I am going to tell you more about importance of Cleansing Toning Moisturizing routine. There are few facts which will be brought to your notice and some myths that will be cleared off. So now lets start step by step.
We use makeup daily, don’t we? Okay if not make up then surely a sunscreen, lip balm, kajal etc. We put these products and travel around and sweat at times as well which results into settlement of dust on our skin. And hence cleansing is required. If you are not travelling, still when you are at home, you might be cooking or spending time with your family but dust or microbes are always unavoidable. So the first ever step you should take towards skin care is “Cleansing”. There are many small and lengthy methods which can be used for cleansing, here I do not mean a parlour clean up but our simple home activities which help us keep our skin fresh and supple.
There are couple of cleansers available today like oil based, cream based, gel based. One should chose it according to their choices. Please remember that whichever cleanser you use, some oil residue will be left back on your skin, so please do use a facewash after using your cleanser. A pore cleanser is useful for people having large pores on their skin, since make up might get clogged which may result into acne or zits.
If you think toning is meant to be a part of skincare routine for combination or oily skin, then its completely wrong. Toning is important for everyone. First of all, toning helps in removing any dust particles left after cleansing your face. Also it will help you get rid of soapy residue if left behind. Prefer using a toner that doesn’t create a kind of thin film after its usage and which make you feel refreshed. You can always use rose water as a toner as it will make your skin healthier and fresh.
In winters toning is important since it provides moisturization as well and your skin won’t feel stretchy after using a cleanser and facewash. Toners are inevitable part of your skin care so make sure you use one daily and regularly. Way to good skin is only religious skin care.
The third and the most important step of your skin care is moisturizing. Be it a super dry skin or extremely oily skin, moisturization is one step which should not be skipped ever. It helps you in maintaining your skin soft and supple as well as for oily skin people it prevents from creation of sebum which results in acne. Skin care routine for dry skin can include any type of moisturizers but not gel based moisturizers as they result in stretchy feel at times. Oily skin people or combination skin people should prefer gel based moisturizer as they are water based and they don’t make your skin oily.
Winters or summers, one should always use a moisturizer. These days moisturizers come up with SPF protection as well, which are great for daily use. At night one should never use a cream having SPF properties as that is harmful for skin. A serum can also be used which helps in lifting your skin and reduces appearance of lines.
Apart from CTM routine, using a scrub or a brush cleanser once in a while is really of great help to your skin. Also using steam to open up the pores and then scrubbing helps in reduction of pimples, zits and black heads.
